Welcome to the WunderFolk Forecasting Center (WFFC), an unofficial volunteer tropical cyclone monitoring and forecasting center that aims to issue advisories and provide amateur meteorologist discourse on tropical cyclones in the Atlantic and East Pacific basins. These advisories provide information on the system and an intensity forecast. Information found here is NOT OFFICIAL; thus, seek local Regional Specialized Meteorological Centres and/or Tropical Cyclone Warning Centres for official information.
In July 2015, forecast products covered the West Pacific, East Pacific, and northern Atlantic. The project was discontinued until July 2018. Currently, advisories and discussion materials are written on tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific and North Atlantic only at 03:00, 09:00, 15:00, and 21:00 UTC.
The WunderFolk Forecasting Center was known as the Wiki-Hurricanes Forecasting Center from 2015-2021 but was rebranded to highlight the involvement of the WunderFolk community in forecasts.
