|Post-Tropical Cyclone Flossie||Winds: 30 kt|
|Pressure: 1010 mbar|
|Advisory 30 / 8:00 PM PDT Sunday, August 4, 2019|
Flossie has met its end. No convective activity has formed anywhere near the low-level circulation over the past 12 hours, and in fact, the thunderstorms that existed this morning have evaporated, leaving behind some upper-level outflow. The initial intensity remains 30kt, based primarily on an earlier ASCAT pass that showed 25kt winds well away from the center. The post-tropical cyclone is expected to continue moving west to west-northwest in the short term, and it may move directly over Hawaii. Given a continuation of strong wind shear, regeneration is not expected. Dissipation is expected about 36 to 48 hours from now.
