Post-Tropical Cyclone Dalila Winds: 25 kt
Pressure: 1008 mbar
Advisory 11 / 2:00 PM PDT Wed July 24, 2019

Dalila has become a remnant low. While, strictly speaking, some shower activity continues to persist southeast of the center, this convection is too weak and too disorganized to meet the definition of a tropical cyclone. The storm's circulation has become increasingly elongated this afternoon, a testament to the hostile environment Dalila entered last night. An ASCAT pass from around 18z highlighted maximum winds of 20kt in the western semicircle. Assuming slightly stronger winds were missed on the eastern side, the initial intensity has been set to 25kt. This is in agreement with a T1.5/25kt designation from TAFB. SAB assessed the storm with a "Too Weak" classification, which went into my decision to terminate Dalila in this advisory and not the next. The remnant low is now moving northwest and will soon curve toward the west-southwest as it becomes embedded within the low-level easterly trade wind flow across the East Pacific. Dissipation is expected in about 48 hours, if not sooner.
