Tropical Depression Barry | Winds: 20 kt |
Pressure: 1009 mbar | |
Advisory 19 / 10:00 AM CDT Mon Jul 15 2019 | |
While the development of some convection near the center of circulation last night delayed a reclassification of Barry to a remnant low, it's clear that this transition should occur inevitably sometime today. RAP analyses indicated that the fluid trapping parameter has risen to near zero this morning, with low-level moisture transport no longer directing moist air towards the center of circulation over Western Arkansas. Surface observations indicate Barry possesses winds no stronger than 20 kt. Barry and its remnants are expected to trend towards the north-northeast to northeast over time before opening up into a trough in the latter half of tomorrow.
