Post-Tropical Cyclone Iba Discussion Number 21
Wiki-Hurricanes Forecast Center
06:00 PM AST Fri Mar 28 2019 Iba has finally succumbed to the bone-dry airmass and exceptional shear field it finds itself in this afternoon. Although some semblance of a low-level circulation exists, the system has not produced any sort of convection that would be considered organized for the entirety of the day, and the vortex continues to become increasingly ill-defined. In lieu of any recent scatterometer data near the center, the intensity has been decreased slightly for this advisory to 30 kt, and with the lack of organized storm activity Iba has been downgraded to a post-tropical system. The remnant circulation may drift east to northeast over the next day or so before dissipating.
